Minangkabau International Airport is the principal airport serving the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Recently a contract was awarded for the supply of AGL equipment including runway lighting, taxiway lighting, airfield signs, ancillary products and the provision of an AGL control system. Working alongside a local representative atg airports have been successful in securing this project.
The Smartcontrol system is currently under manufacture and when installed will be used to operate the Micro 200 CCR’s that are also being supplied under phase two of this project. New LED inset runway edge lighting, the IR850C, are also to be installed, along with IR861 LED taxiway edge and Clearway airfield signs. Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) equipment will be powered through alternate circuit selector switches which are integral to the CCR unit.
