Reliable, Sealed Connectivity for SmartSwitch Communication Systems

The CEG-72PR and CEG-72R kits are designed to deliver high-integrity, waterproof connections within SmartSwitch and SmartRepeater communication networks. Engineered for performance in demanding airfield environments, these kits offer robust, dielectric-safe terminations that ensure long-term operational reliability.

The CEG-72PR Kit includes a locking-style plug and receptacle housing, complete with:

  • Two small crimp brass pins for data cores
  • One large crimp brass pin for cable screening
  • Single-way cable sealing cones for both plug and receptacle sides

Upon installation, the plug and receptacle are filled with a fast-curing resin, providing guaranteed dielectric strength and watertight sealing. This kit is ideal for creating secure, separable connections between SmartSwitches, SmartSwitch Repeaters, and termination units—or for making splices in the communication cable. One kit is required for each splice or repeater installation.

The CEG-72R Kit is a single receptacle-only version, designed for installations where only one side of the connection is required, such as SmartSwitches and termination units. It includes:

  • Two small crimp brass inserts for data cores
  • One large crimp brass insert for cable screen
  • A two-way cable sealing cone
Like the PR version, the CEG-72R is also filled with resin to ensure complete water tightness and electrical insulation.

Both kits are supplied with full installation instructions. Due to sensitivity to cable outer diameter and conductor size, please consult atg airports for guidance on kit selection to match your specific application.
