The SmartMini is a space-saving, highly reliable AGL control system designed specifically for airports with lower traffic volumes. Created to meet the highest standards in quality and performance, it delivers a cost-effective yet sophisticated solution for managing complex airfield operations with ease.
Developed in direct response to customer demand for smarter, more compact systems, the SmartMini is a stand-alone solution that can be installed within an existing substation alongside the Constant Current Regulators (CCRs), with a user-friendly touchscreen terminal located in the Visual Control Room (VCR). This configuration ensures ease of access and efficient control without requiring extensive infrastructure changes.
Optimised for Efficiency and Flexibility
The system is ideally suited for airports where the CCRs are co-located within a single substation—typically within the ATC building. The standard configuration can manage up to 12 CCRs via hardwired connections, and up to 24 CCRs when using TCP/IP Ethernet or Profibus communications, offering excellent scalability to match your airport’s evolving needs.
Though it is a standardised product, SmartMini is designed with flexibility at its core. It can be customised to control a wide range of airfield equipment as needed. Built on the solid foundation of our advanced SmartControl platform, it benefits from proven hardware design and reliable software architecture.
