atg airports, a UK specialist in airfield ground lighting (AGL) systems, is pleased to announce the award of a contract to supply and install a new approach lighting system at Humberside Airport, highlighting the company’s capability to deliver complete AGL installation projects from design support through to commissioning.

The project will see atg airports deliver a full upgrade of the approach lighting power and circuit infrastructure, including the supply and installation of two IEC-specification Micro200 Constant Current Regulators (CCRs), providing precise control, reliability, and long-term operational performance.

As part of the works, atg airports will supply and install the FX862AP elevated LED approach lights together with isolating transformers, delivering improved energy efficiency, reduced maintenance requirements, and extended service life compared with conventional lighting systems. The installation demonstrates atg airports’ ability to deliver modern LED AGL solutions alongside critical power and control equipment.

To complete the approach lighting system, atg airports will install approximately 5,000 metres of 6mm 5kV primary cable, forming a robust and compliant AGL series circuit. Testing and commissioning of the new approach lighting system will ensure full operational performance and compliance with applicable aviation standards, reinforcing atg airports’ turnkey delivery capability.

A spokesperson for atg airports commented:
“atg airports is proud to support Humberside Airport with this approach lighting upgrade, combining LED lighting technology, CCR power systems, and our experienced AGL installation team. Our ability to deliver complete airfield lighting projects ensures airports receive reliable, efficient solutions tailored to their operational needs.”

This project reinforces atg airports’ position as a trusted AGL installation partner, delivering integrated airfield lighting solutions that support safe, efficient airport operations across the UK.
