Chișinău International Airport, the primary aviation hub of Moldova, has selected atg airports, a leading provider of airfield ground lighting (AGL) solutions, for the supply and commissioning of a new AGL control and monitoring system.

This strategic decision marks a major step in modernising the airport’s airfield infrastructure, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, and compliance with ICAO standards. The new AGL control system will provide Chișinău International Airport with state-of-the-art monitoring capabilities, real-time diagnostics, and enhanced visibility for air traffic operations.

As a trusted name in global aviation, atg airports brings decades of expertise in delivering tailored airfield lighting and control systems to major international and regional airports. The new contract includes the delivery of the company’s proven “smart” control technology, which offers scalable functionality to support the airport’s growth and future expansion.

“We are proud to have been chosen by Chișinău International Airport for this important project,” said a spokesperson for atg airports. “Our advanced AGL control and monitoring solutions are designed to meet the highest standards of safety and reliability, and we look forward to supporting the airport’s commitment to operational excellence.”

The installation and commissioning are scheduled to begin later this year, with minimal disruption to airport operations. Once complete, the system will play a vital role in enhancing airfield safety, streamlining maintenance operations, and enabling real-time performance insights.

This project further reinforces atg airports’ position as a preferred partner for airport infrastructure upgrades across Europe and beyond.
