The ‘PEARL’ system is available in four different application packages covering the basic operational requirements of any small airport or airfield. Each kit can be purchased singularly or in any combination that best suits your airfield, although additional kits can be purchased and added to any existing systems at any time in the future.
The use of LED’s provides almost zero maintenance and low power consumption for the airports. A Basic ‘PEARL’ kit including runway edge and threshold/runway end lights suitable for a 900m runway will use approximately 450W at maximum intensity, and as little 45W for night time operations.
Each ‘PEARL’ fitting is constructed from lightweight aluminium and is supplied with series cables fitted with FAA L-823 connectors allowing for an entire system to be installed quickly and efficiently with no need for specialist skills or equipment.
In order to ensure a fail-safe installation, each ‘PEARL’ connection to the series cable is made using a Y-shaped cable fitting equipped with factory-moulded plugs, to avoid polarity issues.
