The RAMAC 2000 has been designed as the first in the new generation of shipboard starting and servicing systems currently being produced. It will replace and improve upon the current systems, which use outdated technology, and so reliability and safety are increased when starting and servicing a variety of aircraft types from one unit.
The main innovation is increased system flexibility. A range of aircraft, including Lynx and Sea King are supported: aircraft types are selected at the touch of a button. For the first time ever, the variety of available aircraft has been taken into account. All current types of helicopter can be operated, provided that their technical characteristics are fully specified.
